With all the demands work and the day can put on a person – it’s hard to remember to focus on the “sweet things” in life. During the school day, I am so focused on improving my students’ academic performance, appeasing co-workers, parents and administration, raising test scores, making my SGP’s and SGO’s, grading papers, filling out forms, pacifying fears and concerns – that I forget to focus on the important things. The little things. Tutoring on the other hand – allows me to just be me. It’s a welcomed vacation from the hectic rigor of my daily routine. Working with students and parents who want me there is great. Getting paid is fantastic. But if you ask me – it has an added, additional bonus – sweet treats. And at the end of the day —— isn’t that what really matters?
